Steve Olson is an actor, writer and improviser.
In 2026, he plays David Barr in Apple TV’s LUCKY, a crime thriller starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Annette Bening, premiering July 15. In August, Steve appears as Joe, the cocaine-fueled lead control-booth operator on “Dance Off!” in FX’s THE SHARDS, Ryan Murphy and Bret Easton Ellis’s 1980s-set horror-thriller. In October, he appears in Apple TV’s NOCTURNE, starring Liev Schreiber.
His other television credits include HACKS, NCIS, THE GOLDBERGS, DAVE, GENERAL HOSPITAL, FOR ALL MANKIND, BOOKIE, THE COMPANY YOU KEEP, and THOSE WHO CAN'T. Taken together, they form resume that looks considerably more successful when read quickly.
On film, Steve appeared opposite Mark Wahlberg in Sony’s FATHER STU, starred in the indie dramedy FISHBOWL CALIFORNIA, opposite Kate Flannery (THE OFFICE), and in the SXSW selection SINGLE.
He studied improvisation at The Groundlings and Acme Comedy Theater and trained with Lesly Kahn, Stan Kirsch, Andrew Wood, Jamie Renee Smith, Margie Haber, Scott Sedita and Annie Grindlay.
Steve plays piano and drums.
He regularly starts slow claps that no one joins in on.
